Our Mission
At Lighthouse Counseling, we strive to provide Christian counseling that guides individuals in reorienting their lives according to God's standard. We compassionately invest in each person, walking alongside them as they navigate their unique challenges. Our counseling services emphasize that there is hope and restoration for everyone seeking answers. Whether through individual therapy or marriage counseling, our aim is to personally care for each client as God cares for them.
Our Services
We offer a variety of counseling services, including individual, marriage counseling, and family counseling, available both in person and virtually. Our approach to Christian counseling is rooted in walking alongside people compassionately and practically, providing wisdom, hope, and direction through counseling.
Our Counselors
Dr. Matt Cowan currently serves as the Pastor of Discipleship & Counseling at Calvary Road Baptist Church and is the founder of Lighthouse Biblical Counseling. He earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 and became certified through the Association of Biblical Counselors in 2023. Additionally, he completed his Doctorate of Ministry in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2025. Dr. Matt Cowan is dedicated to providing Christian counseling that emphasizes compassion and relational support, helping individuals connect with the truths of God’s Word. He has been happily married to his wife, Becca, for 12 years, and together they are raising their two boys, aged 9 and 6.
